Fan favourite Lou Franceschetti has joined the Scotiabank® Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer team!

Drafted by Washington in 1978, Lou Franceschetti made his NHL debut with the Capitals during the 1981-82 season, and instantly became a favourite for his rambunctious and physical play. Through his 10-season NHL career, Lou also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Sabres, collecting 59 goals and 81 assists for 140 points in 459 regular season NHL contests. His career-best season was as a Leaf in 1989-90 when he scored 21 goals and 36 points and brought the crowd to its feet chanting ‘Looooouuuuu’ every time he made a thunderous hit.
