Countdown to event Toronto 10.01.16

Hockey Hall of Fame Honoured Member Geraldine Heaney has joined the Scotiabank® Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer team!
Beginning with the Toronto Aeros at 13, Geraldine Heaney went on to star with the team for 18 years. With Geraldine on the blueline, the Aeros won six provincial championships. She also has played on the Canadian national women’s hockey team, helping her squad earn gold seven times at the IIHF World Championships. In fact, she is the only player to have been part of all seven victories. In 1992 and 1994, Heaney was named Best Defenceman and was selected to the All-star team in 1992 and 1999. Heaney and Team Canada won Olympic silver at the 1998 Winter Games in Nagano, bettering that with gold in 2002 in Salt Lake City. In 2013, Geraldine Heaney became only the third woman inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
